The Los Gatos Library is a new two-story, 30,000 square foot structural steel building seeking LEED-platinum certification. Exterior finishes include metal paneling, plaster, slate tile and wood veneer siding. Features within include complex interrelated building management systems, glazing, wood paneling, thermal and solar photovoltaic systems, as well as many other green features. The building was designed, and will be built, to LEED standards using environmentally responsible construction products and methods.
